The Weekender

Taking on the world of “soft goods” seemed scary and a bit intimidating, so of course we were all in. Discommon Goods has been shaped by our mission of making ordinary obsolete, whether that means completely reinventing a classic, or just making the critical tweaks that transform a common item into functional art.

What we’ve affectionately come to call “The Disco Duffle” adds another important chapter to The Book of Discommon. This defining piece has a documentary-worthy  origin story that starts with its humble beginnings as a concept for Shinola. From there it survived an awkward development phase that involved a bit of mayhem on an airport escalator, before eventually reincarnating itself as a FLAWLESS master prototype supplied by Hermes - only to be stolen from a car in LA (still so sorry about your smashed window, Kyle).

The Weekender has taken a remarkable journey to become your ideal travel companion. After  years of development, each bag is now handcrafted by 4th generation artisans at 100-year-old Korchmar. The perfect fusion of meticulous design, skill, and materials to create an enduring product that delivers something extraordinary in an all-too-ordinary world.
